Although fitting is quite straight forward we do always recommend using a trained professional to undertake the install. This is a replacement part, the OEM fenders need to be removed for installation since they will be replaced by the DMC items, which are vented. Each part is inspected further and checked for tolerances before being hand and machine polished, followed by being waxed and sealed in with high content Carnauba products. Once the part has been produced and pulled from the mould, it is checked and tested thoroughly before heading to lacquer. The Carbon Fiber Hood is made up from lightweight and strong Carbon Fiber, produced via vacuum infusion giving both great strength and superior finish. And regular Huracan owners will be glad that no water or dirt can go into their trunk area. We decided to close the hood vents for two reasons: This way more air is pushed towards the side vents, giving additional, stronger cooling of the brakes when you are on track. At the same time it still keeps the basic OEM overall style, not looking aftermarket at all. The DMC carbon creation looks different than OEM, and thanks to being in forged carbon, has a more aggressive look. The Huracan STO from factory has quite a tame looking fascia, that really doesn’t do a proper Lamborghini Super Trofeo any justice, since it’s not exposed. The DMC Carbon Front Hood really IS the finisher to any cars front fascia. We aim to change that with our new range of STO Forged Carbon Fiber items. Another issue is, Lamborghini decided to use regular carbon, instead of Forged Carbon, even though they pushed the Forged Carbon Style heavily with the original introduction of the Huracan. The Lamborghini Huracan is a superb looking car however from a distance with the softer curves than the its Aventador sibling, it can look a little tame.
